Heidelberg Materials maintains asphalt plants that serve select markets in the United States, predominantly in the northeastern regions. With more than 90% of all paved roads in the U.S. built of asphalt, it virtually defines our surface transportation infrastructure.

Flexible Designs for Diverse Applications

Asphalt produces what’s known as a flexible pavement as opposed to rigid pavements made from ready mixed concrete. Both have their own set of attributes and benefits. As the name implies, flexible pavements are less brittle and resist cracking – a bend-don’t-break approach.

They offer quick and economical construction, a smooth & quiet riding surface, and ease of repair or recycling. As the challenges of infrastructure renewal make new demands on construction and reconstruction, Heidelberg Materials provides hot-mix, warm-mix, epoxy, and recycled asphalt products for a wide variety of standard and specialty applications.
