Union Bridge Plant host Maryland Lieutenant Governor Rutherford

Lehigh Hanson’s Union Bridge plant hosted a visit on Saturday, November 7 with Maryland Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford.  The tour was a great opportunity to share highlights about the team and plant as well as their critical role in keeping the Maryland economy moving forward, especially in the uncertainty around the COVID pandemic.  The group discussed how safe operational practices at Union Bridge demonstrate that Lehigh Hanson can successfully navigate the challenges with the pandemic as well at its role in addressing CO2 emissions through policy discussions and enhancements at the plant such as use of natural gas.  The visit was a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and set the table for more in the future.
