The Hanson Aggregates Quarry in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, recently welcomed Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA-05) for a visit and tour of the operations. The Congresswoman and her district staff spent valuable time visiting with employees and learning about the important role quarries and aggregates play in building the economy.
A number of regional and area management members were in attendance, including Chris Hobby, Sr. VP/GM Materials Northeast; Mark Kendrick, VP/GM Eastern/Central PA & NJ; Gerald Spearing, Plant Manager, Glen Mills; Andrew Gutshall, Area Environmental Manager, Eastern/Central PA & NJ; and Brandon Matejik, Management Trainee, Glen Mills. The Hanson team gave Congresswoman Scanlon an informative and educational overview focusing on company sustainability perspectives, key investments in the local community, the need for a long-term infrastructure investment and workforce development.
