Stan Dacus Recognized by Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association

Stan Dacus, a Vice President for Heidelberg Materials North America’s Southwest Region, was recently honored with the Bob Beard Good Neighbor Award, a prestigious accolade given by the Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association (TACA). This annual award, established in 1999, recognizes individuals who have made significant efforts to improve community perception of the aggregate and concrete industries in Texas.

Dacus, who has been in the construction materials for more than 40 years, was recognized for his exemplary commitment to fostering positive relationships between the industry and the community. His leadership at Heidelberg Materials, longstanding involvement with multiple industry associations, as well as contributions to TACA, including his role in the successful annual TACAMP program, were highlighted as factors in his selection.

Throughout his career, Dacus has been a driving force in enhancing the industry's image and promoting its benefits to the community. His dedication to customer relationships, strategic growth, and community engagement underscores the values the Bob Beard Good Neighbor Award seeks to honor.

The award was presented at the TACA Annual Meeting in June. For an extra special moment, Dacus’ daughter Cara, who also works in the industry, was asked to help in the presentation of the award.  This recognition is not only a testament to his outstanding contributions to the industry, but also in his personal commitments to community.
