In recognition of Veterans Day and to honor the veterans within its workforce, Heidelberg Materials North America announced a $20,000 donation to Fisher House Foundation - an organization that provides comfort and housing to military families receiving medical care.
Since launching its Military Program in 2021, Heidelberg Materials has more than tripled veteran representation across its operations. That growth underscores the value veterans bring to the company through leadership, resilience, and teamwork. The VetNet Employee Resource Group continues to strengthen efforts to recruit, develop, and support service members transitioning to civilian careers.
“Veterans bring unique skills and values that align perfectly with our culture—leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility,” said Casey Rowe, Military Program Manager. “Supporting organizations like Fisher House reflects our appreciation and commitment to those who have served.”
For the past couple of years, as part of our Veterans Day recognition, members of our VetNet ERG have had the opportunity to vote on a charity to receive our annual Veterans Day gift. This year, Fisher House was chosen for the meaningful impact it has on military communities.
“We are so grateful to welcome Heidelberg Materials North America to the Fisher House family,” said Ken Fisher, Chairman and CEO of Fisher House Foundation. “Their generosity reflects a deep respect for the men and women who serve our country, and for the families who stand beside them. Every gift helps us continue our mission of providing comfort and care when it’s needed most — and we’re proud to have Heidelberg Materials join us in that effort.”
Heidelberg Materials remains committed to creating a workplace where veterans can thrive. By continuing to grow veteran representation and support causes that matter to military communities, the company is building more than a workforce—it’s building a culture that honors service and strengthens communities.
